Do I need a cosigner or guarantor?
We don’t use cosigners in our process. Instead, some students provide a guarantor.
A guarantor doesn’t sign the lease; they sign a simple, one‑page Guaranty Agreement that applies only to you, not to your roommates.
If you’re joining a group that already rents with us, you do not need a guarantor.
For new groups renting with us for the first time, each roommate provides a guarantor. This helps us keep the security deposit at one month instead of one‑and‑a‑half months, which saves the group $2,000 or more in upfront costs.
View the one-page Guarantor Agreement at the end of this FAQ section.
